How to Reduce COVID-19 Induced Stress!
Our high-stress lifestyles have gone to a whole new level since the introduction of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Experts are now warning that everyone should be mindful of their stress levels and take steps to calm their minds and bodies or they could be at risk of developing health problems in the future.
The sad truth is stress can wreck our appearance and make us look older. It can also lead to unhealthy habits and ultimately it can even kill us!
We hear it on the news, we read about it in magazines, but still most of us don’t do anything about it.
Maybe deep down we don’t think any of the so-called solutions will really work. Maybe we think that we don’t have time to deal with stress-relief, that finding time to pursue stress relief will actually add more stress to our lives. Maybe we think we are immune to the effects of stress (you’re not!).
The truth is every minute that we don’t do something about the stress we are under it takes a toll on us.
The COVID-19 Outbreak has sent stress for many people soaring. We are worried about our elderly relatives … we are worried about our loved ones … we are worried about ourselves … we are worried about your jobs … and we are worried about how we are going to pay the bills in the midst of the Coronavirus Recession.
Now add to all of that the stress of being quarantined at home and being around the same people day after day …
And it all can become too much!
If we are not careful, our health, relationships and mental well-being could all suffer to some degree or another.
It has changed the way we live, the way we interact, the way we shop and much more.
One result of all these changes has been a dramatic increase in stress and anxiety.
We may feel stress and anxiety when we go to the store now and the shelves are empty … we may feel it when we go out and see the deserted streets … we may feel it when we are required to stay a certain distance from people or when we are told to stay home.
Being under this increased stress is not good for our health. It can raise our blood pressure. It can weaken our immune system and increase our chances of getting sick. It can also cause us to feel depressed or to get into a bad mood and pass the stress on to others.
Here are six tips to relieve your stress and feel better during the Coronavirus Outbreak:
1. Take a cold shower
Just 3 to 5 minutes of showering with cold water can make you feel like a new, more relaxed person. The cold water will stress your body and force you to overcome it so that you feel less stressed afterwards. A cold shower can also boost your energy. This is not recommended for anyone with a heart condition or severe health problems.
2. Write it out
Physically writing down why you are feeling stressed can help you better understand why are you are feeling the way you feel and also make you more appreciative of the good things in your life.
3. Do yoga at home
Another great way to relieve stress is to do yoga. Simply clear a spot in your home and put on a yoga routine from YouTube or another source and exercise your stress away.
4. Play soothing music
Playing soft music is a great way to take your mind off the things that are causing you stress and to relax. You may even want to try doing a little meditation while you listen to the relaxing music.
5. Enjoy relaxing scents
Burning scented candles is a great way to relax and reduce your stress level as well. There are even some scents that are known for being relaxing – like lavender, vanilla and jasmine. Strong scents like peppermint can also be good for breaking your train of thought if you are spending a lot of time worrying.
6. Start taking CBD regularly!
Imagine feeling energized again ... Imagine being able to sleep at night ... Imagine no longer feeling stressed and on edge ... Imagine being able to get along much better with the important people in your life ... it’s all possible when you start taking CBD.
The truth is many people don’t even realize just how much stress they are under – and they don’t see the damage it is causing until it’s too late and suddenly they have health problems or their spouse wants a divorce.
Don’t let that happen to you. Get control of COVID-19-induced stress as well as other stress in your life with CBD.
