CBD Trend No ‘Pipe Dream’ – Discover Why Cannabidiol Figures to be Around for the Long Run!

Find Out How CBD Became so Hot Today & What the Future Holds for It …

From Kim Kardashian actually holding a CBD-themed baby shower to Dr. Oz and Sanjay Gupta consistently extolling its virtues – few things are hotter right now than Cannabidiol (CBD).

In fact, the legal CBD market is forecast to grow at a rate of 36X … from $600 million last year to $22 billion by 2022.

The legal CBD market, by the way, basically means hemp-derived CBD, like that produced by Sarah’s Blessing, but more on that in a minute.

First, let’s take a closer look at the CBD trend which is currently sweeping the globe.

How Did CBD Become So Popular … So Fast?

CBD, by the way, stands for Cannabidiol, which is chemical compound that is found in cannabis. It is actually one of 104 compounds, or cannabinoids, that are in the marijuana plant.

One big reason why CBD is increasing so rapidly in popularity is because of celebrity endorsements.

For example, Kim Kardashian had a CBD-themed baby shower for her fourth child with Kanye West.

According to a feature by E! Hollywood Kim K wanted her friends and family to "zen out on a Saturday" at the event, noting the benefits of CBD to actively ease anxiety and other ailments without any psychoactive properties.

Actor Seth Rogen is so convinced of the benefits of CBD for those with Alzheimer's that he testified before Congress on those benefits. Those are just a couple of the A-list celebrities on a long and growing list that are calling attention to the benefits of CBD.

That’s another big reason for CBD’s growing popularity – all the many benefits that have been associated with it.

Regularly consuming CBD has been linked with a number of health benefits including:

Dr. Oz and Sanjay Gupta are two that have been busy drawing attention to the benefits of CBD.

As Dr. Oz and Sanjay explain, CBD products are a non-intoxicating derivative from hemp plants that can produce a wide range of benefits and can be used in wide variety of products from beverages to healthcare and beauty.

We will talk more about the future of CBD, including which products you are likely to find it in, in just a moment. First, let’s look at CBD derived from hemp and CBD derived from marijuana.

The Hemp Market is Absolutely Exploding in Popularity Right Now!

There are two main reasons for this:

1. Increasing demand for CBD and

2. The illegal status of hemp’s “cousin” pot

It is much more difficult, right now, to obtain CBD from marijuana, which is still illegal to use in many areas of the world.

Companies eager to produce CBD related products have instead turned to the hemp industry. Hemp is legal across the US and Europe!

This escalating demand for hemp-derived CBD is why industry analysts the Brightfield Group are predicting that in the U.S. alone the hemp and hemp-derived product market will quickly escalate 3,556%, from around $600 million last year to $22 billion in the next three years.

And because CBD has no hallucinogenic effects, hemp-derived CBD is just as effective as marijuana-derived CBD.

So what’s in store for CBD?

CBD’s Past, Present and Future …

Though CBD has been used throughout history as part of the marijuana plant, its modern history really starts in 1940 when American organic chemist Roger Adams was able to isolate the CBD compound.

Later in 1960, Israeli organic chemist Raphael Mechoulam was able to both isolate and described the chemical structure of CBD, which enabled chemists to confirm that CBD was a non-psychoactive ingredient of cannabis.

Today, CBD, thanks to advanced extraction methods, is more popular than ever before. As we said, it has been shown to have a number of benefits, including reducing stress and anxiety, relieving pain, promoting better sleep, and encouraging a happier and healthier life.

As Dr. Oz has pointed out, the retail market is constantly expanding, with new products popping up every day that feature CBD. For example, Sarah’s Blessing offers CBD in oils, candies, creams and more.

The current popularity of CBD shows no signs of diminishing. As for the future, one of the fastest growing niches within the red-hot market is CBD-infused beverages.

In fact, Business Insider recently reported that the market for infused drinks could explode to $600 million in the next four years and CBD beverages alone could hit $260 million.

The magazine went on to say that “revenue from cannabis beverages could outpace the general demand for cannabis products by over two times, capturing 20% of the market for marijuana edibles by 2022.”

Sarah’s Blessing now offers CBD-infused tea in three flavors: lemon verbena and blackberry, fruit mixture and raspberry.

The tea-blend contains high-quality fruits and the finest hemp leaves which infuse the tea with a variety of valuable ingredients including vitamins, minerals and trace elements.

One note about CBD: There are actually two types of CBD – CBD isolate and full-spectrum CBD.

CBD isolate means that a product contains purified CBD that has been extracted from a marijuana plant and isolated from the other cannabinoids that the plant contains.

In other words, products with CBD isolate mean that you are only getting CBD.

On the other hand, products with full-spectrum CBD mean that you are getting CBD along with all the other cannabinoids that are found in the marijuana plant. So full-spectrum CBD delivers more health benefits to users.

Sarah’s Blessing offers hemp-derived full spectrum CBD in all of its products, including the teas. You can learn more about the company and its products here.
